Census Outreach

Ensuring our people are accurately counted on the US Census is critically important to our well-being. Indigenous peoples were under-counted during the 2010 Census by 5%, damaging funding efforts for our tribes and communities. This year, you make the Census count by being counted! Filling out your Census form will directly impact the amount of funding that tribes and Native American organizations will be eligible for, as well as assistance programs like SNAP, Medicade, housing, and early education programs, over the next 10 years.

The Census is available to be completed online! The 2020 Census is a modern, technology-enabled process that was designed precisely to offer multiple ways to respond. It has never been easier to self-report.

If you'd prefer to complete it by phone, the Census has 13 different languages to chose from. From English and Spanish to Vietnamese, a Census taker will automatically pick up the phone in the language you called in on.

NAICOB will be adjusting as needed with public health requirements during COVID-19. We cancelled our Census Day event at the Center but watch our social media sites for tips and tricks about filling it out along with Census challenges.
